A welded steel vessel designed to store flammable and combustible liquids constructed according to API 12F Tanks entitled, Specification for Shop Welded Tanks for Storage or Production Liquids. A tank constructed according to API Specification 12F is intended for the storage of crude petroleum and other liquids commonly stored in the course of oil production. API Tanks & API 12F tanks are typically used for oilfield use, and store gasoline, petroleum, and other types of oil. These bulk storage tanks are fabricated using only the strictest guidelines. These specifications allow for the oil products to be stores safety and in a cost effective manner. We have decades of experience fabricating API Tanks & API 12F stainless steel tanks, and we take pride in the fact that we are one of the top stainless steel tank manufactures in the industry. All tanks are built onsite and are pressure tested prior to shipment.
API 12F, Specification for Shop Fabricated Welded Tanks for Storage of Production Liquids, is probably the least known of the three standards. This standard is to shop fabricated tanks as API 12D is to field erected tanks. API 12F contains predetermined tank dimensions and storage capacities, along with accessories and testing requirements. By creating fixed sizes and requirements, the API 12F has eliminated the need for further engineering, effectively reducing the cost of the tanks.
Our API tanks are built to API 650 and API 12F standards.
Uses of API 12F Tanks
API-12F represents welded shop-fabricated steel tanks. The tank, as described in this standard, allows for uniformity, mass production and adaptability. API Tanks & API 12F tanks are usually used for oilfield use, and store gasoline, petroleum, and other types of oil. These bulk storage tanks are fabricated using only the strictest guidelines. These specifications allow for the oil products to be stores safety and in a cost effective manner.
