GENERAL Secretary of Egbema Gbaramatu Communities Development Foundation, Jude Ukori has said that the victory of Amaju Pinnick as Nigeria Football Federation President was as a result of Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan’s strides in sport.
Ukori who made this known in a statement in Koko, Warri North Local Government Area, Delta state, yesterday said the victory of Amaju Pinnick as NFF boss was as a result of the several victories of Deltans in the various sports competitions they have taken part in.
He said, “almost all the games participated by Deltans, including national sport festival, the excellent performance of Blessing Okagbare in the Commonwealth Games, among others were all by the efforts of the Governor.
“There is no doubt, the election of Mr. Pinnick as NFF boss is a continuation of Delta’s supremacy in sports”.
He noted that the Delta State Sports Commission under Amaju’s leadership, has made the state to retained, as well as improve on its dominance of sports in the country.
“Amaju has shown traits of commitment, resourcefulness, dedication and leadership right from when he joined the DFA (Delta Football Association) as a member and later as chairman of the Association up to when he emerged as the chairman of the State Sports Commission”, he added.
